Saul is Jealous of David - OT Lesson #58

This week, we read about how Saul's jealous led him to start chucking spears at David!

Story Notes

  1. Saul's Son, Jonathan, was David's best friend. He gave David his robe and weapons.
  2. God gave David success at everything he did. He won many battles.
  3. The women sang a song about how David had defeated more enemies than Saul.
  4. Saul became jealous of David. He thought he would take away his kingdom.
  5. As David played music, Saul threw a spear at David.
  6. David escaped from Saul's spear two times.
  7. Because God helped David win battle after battle, the people loved him.
  8. Saul was afraid of David. He thought of him as his enemy for the rest of his life.

 Important Ideas

  1.  The cure for jealousy is trust in God's good plan.
  2. God’s plans are unstoppable.
