Story  Notes

  • As they traveled through the desert, the people complained because they had no FOOD.
  • God told Moses, "I will send quail at night and BREAD from heaven in the morning."
  • God covered the camp with QUAIL that night. Next morning, white bread flakes covered the ground.
  • Moses said, "Don't SAVE any of the bread." When people tried, it became a bug-filled stinky mess.
  • God sent twice as much bread on the sixth day so his people could REST on the seventh.
  • When the Israelites complained about water, God gave them water after Moses struck a ROCK.
  • The Amalekites ATTACKED the Israelites. Moses told Joshua to prepare some men for battle.
  • Whenever Moses held up his STAFF, Israel won the battle, so Aaron and Hur held up his arms.
