Story Notes
- When David was anointed, God's Spirit lived with him and left Saul.
- Saul was terrified by an evil spirit.
- Saul's servants thought that music might make Saul feel better.
- David was chosen to play his harp for Saul.
- When David played his music, Saul would feel better.
- David wrote many Psalms, songs about God.
- As he died on the cross, Jesus shouted the words of one of David's songs.
- Psalm 22 was a song about Jesus the Messiah, written 1000 years before his birth.
Important Ideas
- God is pleased when his people SING to him.
- The Holy Spirit helped David sing about Jesus 1000 years before he was born.
